OACS is a MEMBER run social network for those who enjoy outdoor adventure and fun. With OACS you'll have the opportunity to explore the Southeast with others who are seeking fun and adventure. We're now the largest and fastest growing outdoor club in the Southeast! So come join in the fun with us.
Our members are an active, diverse, friendly, and fun group of people! They have a broad range of backgrounds, interests, experience and abilities. There is always a friendly, fun crowd and always new, interesting people to meet! Experience levels range from beginners to expert and specialized skill sets. We welcome all ages, singles, couples, families, kids, and even pets!
Our goal is to be an events driven social network for those who share a passion for outdoor adventure. Our calendar is packed full of great outdoor events. Our activities include but are not limited to the following:
Hikes, Backpacking Trips, and Camping
Mountain and Road Biking
Canoe, Kayak, and Rafting
Climbing and Caving
Horseback Riding, SCUBA Diving, Skydiving, Hang Gliding
....and so much more!
To tie it all together we host regular Socials and Meet & Greets where we welcome new members, talk about adventures past, and plan future events. If you're new to the group please come out to our next Social and Meet & Greet so we can get to know you.
Our events reflect a wide range of interests, giving members the opportunity to share the fun with positive, lively people like themselves in a group setting. We host events for all skill levels from beginner to expert so you'll have many opportunities to try a broad range of new activities. About 80% of our events are FREE or pay-as-you-go.
As we're focused on outdoor events we try to limit the types of social events we do. In general we limit this to our Socials and Meet and Greets but we do have a few exceptions:
Music Festivals - Hey most of them are outside anyway!
Beer Festivals - Do I need to explain this one?
Dance Classes - I can't really explain this one.... but all the other outdoor clubs do it.
Most importantly we welcome anyone to post an outdoor event to our calendar. If you love to hike, bike, climb, or paddle.... why not invite the group to come along?
